Culture of mutual support and civic activism as integral parts of the democratization of society in Ukraine

VilnOsvita team has been implementing educational and social projects in Ukraine for over 6 years

Thousands of Ukrainians are beneficiaries of our projects. We have established a network of organizations that are ready to collaborate with us on future projects aimed at the improvement of society in Ukraine. We have warm contacts in local media channels. We are happy to have an extensive team of local and international specialists experienced in working together on local and international-scale projects, from building a school to organizing and conducting international conferences.

Completed projects

2022-2023 Shelter for IDP in Vinnytsia

During wartime our school house was converted to a shelter that provided support, food and has housed more than 1,500 people.

2012-2019 Classes for teachers in Vinnytsia on mindfulness.

Participation as a speaker in online conferences for the Ukrainian teachers about mindfulness. More than 2000 participants.

2019 International Conference on Democratic Education IDEC-EUDEC 2019.

Co-organizers of the Vinnytsia chapter.Exchange of experience, networking and inspiration in the process of democratization of education. 550 participants, 29 countries, 7 days

Ongoing projects

2019-2022 Charity project VilnOsvita Fest.

Co-organizers. Information support and exchange of experience for families who have chosen alternative paths in education. Three online festivals, 87 speakers, 102 000 views. Offline festival for 5 days, 500 participants.

2024 - ongoing project. Playback theater course and performance

In partnership with Ukrainian School of Playback Theater. A Playback Theater (a form of art that promotes the harmonious experience of difficult social processes within communities) basic training course for a team of Vinnytsia activists. 15 participants, 54 hours of training, 50+ viewers

2022 - ongoing project. Charity project VinOK.

Co-organizers. Free supportive classes for children in Vinnytsia during wartime. More than 800 children were involved, more than 2300 hours of classes were held.

2022 - ongoing project. Diversified support for people in Ukraine.

Victims of war, the elderly left without care, the wounded, bereaved families, the alternative education community. More than 200 requests for assistance have been processed.

2017 - ongoing project. Alternative democratic school in Vinnytsia (One Crazy School).

Organizers. Space of a democratic Education, fostering independence, self-awareness, self-worth, change-making. 6 years of democratic education in Vinnytsia.

2023 - ongoing project. Lis Ruk.

Organizers. A service that connects people who are ready to help with those who agree to receive support through self-development seminars. The target audience is IDPs and local volunteers. 52 participants, 144 hours of training, participants` feedback

In partnership with the Arizona State University we provide free intensive English language and communication culture training to Ukrainian activists, volunteers, teenagers, people with higher education, and refugees. 1000+ participants, 8 waves of training, 6 language levels

2023 - ongoing project. VinOK for veteran's community.

In partnership with Vinnytsia Center of Educational Technologies, we provide free classes for veterans, their children, parents, wives and husbands of Ukraine’s defenders, the wounded, the fallen, and POW. 800+ participants, 2500+ hours of classes, 30+ events
